CPAmaker does not ask for your real name or phone number. When you create an account we store a nickname (public), your email address (private, used only to sign you in and to reset your password, and never shown to other users), your password (handled by Google Firebase Authentication, stored in hashed form), the dates you check in, the last time you were active on the site, your streak, your quiz scores and times, and, if you use the Business Corner calculators, the figures you enter and the results (see below).
When you log in with an account, your browser asks a public IP lookup service (ipapi.co, or Cloudflare as a fallback) for your IP address and rough location (city, region, country). We save this, with the time, in a private record that only you and the site owner can access. We use it to keep the community safe (for example, to spot abuse) and to understand where our learners are. It is never shown to other users. We do not collect it from guests.
When you use a calculator while logged in, we save the numbers you entered and the result so you can see them again. This history is private to your account (not shown on leaderboards) and is automatically deleted after 30 days. You can delete an entry yourself at any time. We also count how many computations you make each day to apply the daily limit. Please do not enter anyone else's personal information.
You can continue as a guest with a username you choose (shown as guest_yourname). Guest sessions use anonymous sign-in, are logged out after 1 day of inactivity, and nothing from them is saved except chat messages you post.
If you have an account, you get a public profile with your nickname, an avatar you pick, an optional short bio, your check-in streak, and the text posts you choose to share. Anyone can see your profile and posts. People you follow, and who follow you back ("Moots"), are visible on your profile. Posts have no photos. You can delete your own posts at any time. If you report a post, we store the report so we can review it. We may remove posts or profiles that are abusive or unsafe.
Only Moots can message each other. Direct messages are visible to the two people in the conversation and are stored in our database. Please do not share personal information, passwords or payment details.
If you use Review Mode while logged in, we save how many seconds you studied each day, and the subjects you chose, so you can see your daily review hours. This is private to your account and is not shown on leaderboards.
Messages you post in the chat (your nickname, the text and the time) are visible to other logged-in users. Please do not share personal information. We may delete messages that are abusive or unsafe.
If you use the contact form, we receive the message and any name or contact detail you choose to include, and we use it only to reply to you. The form is handled by our website host (Netlify).
Your nickname, streak counts, and quiz scores appear on leaderboards that anyone can see. Please do not use your real name as a nickname.
To run the daily streak, unlockable content, and quiz leaderboards, and to improve CPAmaker. We do not sell your data.
We use Google Firebase to host accounts and data. YouTube videos are loaded from youtube-nocookie.com only when you press play. Where enabled, Google AdSense may use cookies to show ads; you can manage ad personalization in your Google account settings. Shopee links may be affiliate links; Shopee sets its own cookies when you visit.
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 you may ask us to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact us through the contact form on our home page or at cpamaker.ph@gmail.com and tell us your nickname.
